A New Twist On Competition!
Looking for something new and fresh to test your fitness? 
You've done 5 and 10k's.
You've competed in CrossFit Competitions.
You've done mud runs and Spartan Races


You haven't done anything like this before.  

A combination between a fun run and a CrossFit competition that will challenge firebreathers and novices alike!  

Our competition will span 3 gyms in three different cities.  We will test your CrossFit abilities as well as your endurance in this unique and fun event. 

Three Boxes - One Fun Day

CrossFit Provoke, Torrance CrossFit and Redondo CrossFit are hosting a joint fitness competition for individuals and teams.  

The competition consists of one challenging event at each gym.  We will start at Provoke then go to Torrance Crossfit and end at Redondo Crossfit.


Ending At The Beach

What better place to end a day of fun and sweat than at the beach.  We will be finishing up the day at Redondo CrossFit, which is walking distance to the beach.  

Cap off the competition with an afternoon at the beach, meeting competitors from other gyms and sharing beers with your teammates.


TEAM & INDIVIDUAL COMPETITIONS

We are proudly featuring both Individual and Team divisions in this year Box Crawl.  Test your fitness against the other individuals or partner up in a same sex or Co-Ed teams and join in on the fun!

THE RUNS

We will run between each box.   Runs will be clearly marked and maps will be given out ahead of time.  Run distances are as follows:

CrossFit Provoke to Torrance CrossFit - 1.6 Miles
Torrance CrossFit to Redondo CrossFit - 4.0 Miles

EVENTS

The competition will consist of 3 scored events.  Competitors will be ranked in each event individually to comprise an overall score.  We will use an Open style ranking.

Individual Scored Event 1 - At Crossfit Provoke

10 Clean and Jerks
10 Box Jumps

Competitive: 135/95 and 24"/20"
Intermediate:  95/65 and 24"/20"

Individual Scored Event 2 - At Torrance CrossFit

Individual Non-Scored Event 3 - At Redondo CrossFit

30 Log/Sandbag Squats For Time

Competitive: 100/70 Log
Intermediate: 50/30 Sandbag

Individual Scored Event 4 - Time Trial
Total time of overall event, including workouts and running between boxes.

Competitors will be timed at each station.  Their overall time will be scored as the final event.

Team Events

Team Scored Event 1 - At Provoke CrossFit

The "Tim Tam" is a relay style event, each athlete must complete a full round before rotating.

Team Scored Event 2 - At Torrance CrossFit

The "Tickety-boo" will start when both athletes have finished the run. Only one athlete will work at time with no minimum work requirement.

Team Non-Scored Event 3 - at Redondo CrossFit
 The "sniglet" will start when both athletes have finished the run. Only one athlete will work at a time with no minimum work requirement. The both athlete must pass the finish line for an overall time.

100 Squats For Time

Intermediate Squats: Sandbag Squats
Fun Squats: Air Squats

Team Scored Event 4 - Time Trial
Total time of overall event, including workouts and running between boxes.

Competitors will be timed at each station.  Their overall time will be scored as the final event.

SCHEDULE

Saturday June 25, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Athletes please arrive no later than 8:00 AM for check in.

PARKING

Free street parking is available on Narbonne Ave as well as the residential areas nearby on a LIMITED BASIS. Carpooling is recommended. 

Planning is recommended to get back to CrossFit Provoke from Redondo CrossFit.  Uber and Lyft are good options, or plan to have someone leave a car in the Redondo area who can drive you back to your starting point.

*T-shirt/tank design in progress and will be shared publicly when complete.
*All athletes will be required to complete a signed waiver available for download to print and turn-in at check-in.
